Our home grown Nathan Chavez was awarded the “New Mexico Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year” from the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association.

For us in Portales Schools, it's no surprise that Coach Chavez was given this award due to his dedication to our student athletes. Last year the Power Lifting team brought home the NMAA 1st place trophy in 4A. Congratulations Coach Chavez!! Let's go get another one!!💪
